Trixie went with her father on an errand. They went down the block, through the park, past the school, and into the laundromat. Trixie was so excited to help her father put the laundry and the money into the machine. As they were walking back home, Trixie paused as she realized something. Trixie started bawling, her dad didn’t know what was wrong. When they got home Trixie’s mom realized what was wrong. The whole family ran down the block, through the park, past the school, and into the laundromat. After searching, they finally found the missing piece.
The use of real pictures in this book with cartoon characters was very creative. You don’t see that much so it was interesting. I think the real pictures are a great visual for children as they really set the scene. I also think they would enjoy seeing the cartoon characters on the pictures. This book is also very relatable for children, as almost everyone has their one comfort object. Sometimes you may lose it, but your mother and father will do anything to find it again.
I rate this book a five out of five stars. A perfect book to read for children of all ages, I don’t think it will ever get old!!
